Boys Lacrosse Sets Sights on 2015 with 2014 Summer Options
The OTHS Boys Lacrosse program is gearing up for the summer with several local options to improve on and off the field. The first program, named “Boot Camp” is a conditioning and agilities program available to any OTHS male student who will be in 9th-12th grade next fall on August 12th, 2014. Boot Camp is being conducted by a Champion-level nationally certified personal trainer – Coach Omar Acosta – and promises to push each attendee to new heights with his fitness, core strength, burst speed, and most importantly with his confidence.
Additionally, the HS Boys will compete in the St Louis Founder’s League against some of the best HS programs to include the 2014 Final 4 teams of MICDS, CBC, SLUH, and Eureka. Additionally, the 1-2 games per week at Founders will be supplemented with 1 practice per week to reinforce the OTHS schemes, build cohesion, and have some fun along the way.
In addition to the HS options, the OTHS coaches are again offering a local option for all boys with playing experience entering 5th through 9th grade next fall. This program is designed for anyone wanting to improve his skills, and promises to be the best instruction at the most affordable price in the St Louis area.
Brian Furrow became a one-man wrecking crew for the Panthers in recent weeks, most notably when he ripped the goal crease for 14 goals in just two games. Besides the phenomenal accomplishment, the senior player, the son of Ed and AnneMarie Furrow, also dished out four assists - drawing rave reviews from first year OTHS coach Kevin Finn.
